MESSAGE OF ADVOCATE GENERAL, JAMMU AND KASHMIR

In order to bring efficiency and transparency in the functioning of the Government, the J&K Government has initiated several steps to introduce Information and Communication Technology as a step towards e-Governance, and m-Governance Projects to reach out to citizens in a more effective manner and the age old conventional functioning is being revamped through exhaustive Business Process Re-engineering and electronic service delivery.

Therefore, to use IT as medium for bringing transformational change in government processes with the aim to making governance more effective, efficient and citizen centric, the services rendered by government departments, bodies, corporations are highlighted to the door steps of citizens by creating official websites. So, the advancement in technology has changed the life of people.

The J&K Government has among others launched the website of this Organisation for better service delivery to all concerned. This application will not only establish better coordination between this office and other Departments of the J&K Government but also improve the efficiency and timely compliance of the directions of the Hon’ble High Court in various natures of cases. I hope and trust that the Department of Information Technology will timely update the website including all changes that occur in future on account of wider adoption of Information Technology tools.

I am extremely grateful to the Chief Secretary of J&K, the Administrative Secretaries to the Government for Law, Justice & PA Department, Information and Technology Department and State Informatics Officer, NIC for extending their valuable cooperation and constant guidance.

I place on record my sincere appreciation to Mr. Z.A. Dewani, Administrative Officer [ADO] and other staff who assisted him, for their sincere efforts.

I am confident that this website will be of immense use to all Government Departments as well as to individual.

While all efforts have been taken to ensure that no mistake exist, however, if any are noticed it would be appreciated if these are brought to our notice for rectification along with suggestions if any.
